Questioning is Hypnobirthing right for me? or not there yet and you’re pregnant and wondering what you can do to help yourself?
Underneath the excitement (or surprise or both!) you may well also be saying “I’m scared. I’m pregnant and I have no idea how the hell I’m going to give birth. Is hypnobirthing right for me? I know there’s things I can do to help but I’ve heard all those stories and watched One Born Every Minute… I’ve seen the pain and I don’t want to go there…”
AND THAT IS WHERE YOU NEED TO STOP AND BREATHE! And then read on. Because there’s something which can really help you.
And yes you’re probably thinking is hypnobirthing right for me?
Hypnobirthing is not about giving birth in silence in a pool, it’s not about a home birth. It’s not about a water birth.
Unless you choose and can do that.
I want you to have a birth that you can look back on and say “yes, that all went as well as it could and I felt empowered”
Hypnobirthing is about someone you like telling you all you need to know about pregnancy, labour, and helping you feel strong and empowered (as a couple or on your own) so you know when push comes to…well…surge actually (that’s what we call contractions) you feel you can make decisions about the birth.
Here’s a couple of things you can do to help yourself:
- There’s a great book the Wise Hippo Founder wrote about Hypnobirthing which you can find out about here.
- Read what Hypnobirthing is here
- There are free MP3s and activity sessions on my website here
- You can book a free information session with me (no obligation, try it and see if you like the idea of Hypnobirthing for you)
Just so you know, us Hypnobirthing coaches are not hating on medical professionals, and we’re not telling you that you’ll be considered “a failure” if you don’t get to have the birth of your dreams. Having a vision and a plan is great, because where your mind goes the body follows – and your subconscious doesn’t know if something is imagined or fact, and so with that in mind, yes we focus on helping you be positive. But that’s in line with whatever that means to you.
I’m often on Facebook groups and there are people saying “it’s all going wrong” or “it all went wrong”….but that doesn’t make sense to me. It’s not about HOW we bring a new person into this world, it’s about how we feel whilst we do it. There is no “wrong”. There’s unexpected, and not your preferred route, but I will help you to feel strong and empowered so when those unexpected things happen, you feel you can navigate them.
That’s the power of Hypnobirthing.
As said above – here are the free MP3s you can try now
